If both hot and cold tapes are only giving out a trickle then it is unlikely to be an air lock. If one is giving out a trickle then it is probably an air lock. I would first try connecting a lenght of hose between your cold water tap in you basin and the offending tap. Turn on both taps, turn off the one in the basin and then release the hose from the tap in the bath. This might cure the air lock. If not you may have to trace the pipe and identify a high point.
it could be anything...
although it is most probably an air lock or it could simply be a build up of limescale. if this is the case all you need to do is purchase a product that dissolves the scale blockage. i have done this countless times myself :)
another thing to try is let the taps run for around 15 minutes on full 'power' to see if the air buble can be pushed out!
if these don't prove successfull, call a plumber - they'll know what to do!
:D
i hope this helped
It is definitely not an air lock.
You said bath taps ,so I will guess that it involves bothe the hot and the cold water.
Now if you have a single control handle that controls both and also mixes them to control the temperature then the probblem is most likely in that control valve. We are talking about the bathtub are we not??
What boiler do you have. If it is a combi, then it is not an airlock. If you have a free standing boiler with a balanced flue then it is an airlock o the hot tap.alternately, look for any valaves that are not fully openOn the bath pipes. Follow them back as far as you can.
Can you check to see if the small filter in front of the bath tap is clogged? Some taps have a filter and if it is full, the pressure is greatly reduced. If there isn't a filter present, well then forget about this :-)
Something is blocking that pipe. If you don't have any experience with such things, call a plumber. You'll be glad to have a professional deal with it.
Your shower and hand basin taps are off the mains water supply the bath is indirect and fed from a water tank check the washers on your taps the jumper might be stuck
Could be limescale build up. Could be the lines to the taps are too small or kinked.
remove the spout there is a gauge inside of it fish that out .
